The U. S. Department of Justice said that the plane, Boeing 767, was confiscated after touchdown in Florida. It is estimated that the aircraft costs approximately $25 million. The authorities stated that Maduro employed fraudulent means to acquire the plane, avoiding the sanctions many years before they were imposed on Venezuela.
